I reccently listened to NPR's All Songs Considered: best of 2006. I was pleased to recognize most of the cd's mentioned by listener vote and the critics as well. Joanna Newsom was metioned on all the lists and The Decemberists were were voted number 1 by the program listeners. Maybe all the NPR listeners are pretentious assholes. :P
