So, I went to Australia. As mentioned before, I wasn't that interested in going to Australia. I mostly went because it was a cheaper way to get to New Zealand and because now I can say I've been there. And my time in Australia didn't really change my attitude toward it. It reminded me a lot of the US, actually. Both have a lot in common- both are former British colonies, both have a lot of space, and both have indigenous populations that were brutally suppressed. Australia felt like one part California and two parts Texas. Anyway...

Oh, here's a picture I took of the Kansai airport on my way out.

Here's an idle picture of my pants while waiting for my plane, just to see what Seven-kun (as WTF has christened my camera) would do with it. Seemed to come out okay.

We went out to Grampians National Park. Here are some pictures from the drive out there.

It rained on the way out, which is apparently rare, as Australia is in the middle of a major drought. (And, yes, scientists predict that it's only going to get worse.)

We arrived towards the evening, and drove and then walked up to the top of Mt. William.

Nice sunset from up there (though my camera battery died in the middle of it).
