I've always been puzzled why an organism would evolve into a vicious killing machine such as the Ebola virus, since destroying the host it needs to survive seems counterintuitive for longevity. The fact it hasn't swept across the planet and killed even a noticeable number of people supports your premise it really can't.

It seems easier for people to devote their energy and time to fear of the unknown, building and feeding on doubt to make themselves look smart or interesting to anyone who'll listen; rather than facing the disasters happening around us in plain site. It's unfortunate the U.S. population has become so scientifically illiterate - all that ignorance is having severe consequences in developing nations.

I've got a positive idea for the future of technology to leave off with though. We need to build vacation condos on the moon - actually IN the moon, in large air filled caverns, with balconies all along the cliff walls. When you want to go somewhere you simply strap on your wings and fly off (since you only weigh about 25lbs). There's an old sci-fi book with that setting, but I don't know the name. A nice dream though.
