I got in trouble again today, quite big trouble, in fact, for something I've been doing virtually since I got here, that the Head Teacher knows damn well I've been doing, that suddenly became a heinous offense today. I'll spare you the grisly details. Unless you want the grisly details. But I feel like I've already surpassed my bitch quota for the month. If you guessed it has something to do with the DAMN STAMP, you get a gold star.
I'm trying to figure out how to respond to this. The only thing I can come up with is resignation. There was some bad blood today, and any semblance of a good working relationship between the Head Teacher and I is now gone, I think. In fact, I'm afraid he's going to be gunning for me now. (Like, more than before.)
In the immortal words of Gwen Stefani, "this shit is bananas."
I found the perfect word for him, though. "Prig: A person who demonstrates an exaggerated conformity or propriety, especially in an irritatingly arrogant or smug manner." I couldn't have written a better description myself.
Tomorrow I leave, and I won't be back until January 11th. That'll be nice...

Date: 2005-12-27 11:58 pm (UTC)Yes, the stamp. To be honest, I had thought its potential as a comic gold mine had been exhausted, but the Head Teacher is continually showing me new, as yet untapped veins, and there is reason to believe that hilarity will ensue for a good time to come.

Date: 2005-12-28 04:26 pm (UTC)I would probably be pretty annoyed about the stamp. See, whenever they they try to make me do something ridiculous like that at work or whatever, I just ignore it. Seems like you don't have that option. I bet it's frustrating. Things like that make me grind my teeth in my sleep. But it's totally funny when it happens to you. :)
Read your lengthy email today. I was very, very interested, actually.
