script revisions
Dec. 24th, 2004 05:26 pmMonday night I was very sick. I didn't exactly sleep, but I dreamt/came to believe that I had to make a suitable script for an Earthsea movie. But I've never read Earthsea, you see. I just couldn't do it, but I had to keep working on it anyway. In my more lucid moments I would realize, "Hey. I don't really have to do this," but then I would slip a notch down and it would be, "Yes I DO have to do this!"
Last night, or maybe the night before, I dreamt that I wrote a play about the forces of Heaven and Hell battling over the hearts and minds of an underwater community. Someone payed to have it actually performed in a really fancy opera house kind of place, and the producers were gracious enough to give me a few cameos as an angel. But the things was, my play didn't have any angels. They had changed my script! But I could fly, though. That was cool. Everyone thought it was fancy wire work or something, but it wasn't. I could really fly.
Makes me think I should actually try writing a play (or a short story) about the forces of Heaven and Hell battling over the hearts and minds of an underwater community... How's that for a writing prompt?
