songs for silverman redux

Just watched the DVD on the making of Songs For Silverman, and... Good news! Ben's still happily married. Landed (and all those other songs, I guess) were inspired by friends of his. Whew. Everything's right in the world again.

Turns out Weird Al did backing vocals on "Time," too. Isn't that cool?

Yeah, I was thinking about that while I listened to it yesterday, and the negative relationship vibes in some of the songs don't really match with how devoted he seems in the DVD, as well as with the loving message to her Ben included in the inside cover.

It's so awesome that Al's on Time! I love little collaborations like that, especially after how cool it was to have Ben co-write and play on Al's Why Does This Always Happen To Me.
