I just found out I won't be able to see Ben Folds in Osaka, even though I will be there at the same time. I waited too long, and the Sunday night show is sold out. They actually added another show the next night, but I (a) have a "mandatory" dinner party thing that night with all the other course participants, and (b) I'm not allowed to stay anywhere but at the site of the course for the duration of the course, and going to see Ben Folds would necessitate staying overnight elsewhere. Dammit!

It's just, I meet a Japanese person who's heard of Ben Folds about as often as I meet an American who's heard of Love Psychedelico. I wasn't expecting it to sell out so fast! Lesson learned, I guess.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go pout now.

Try finding a ticket broker or ebay. It'll cost you, but I know you've been hoarding more money than god over there.

There doesn't seem to be anything on ebay, and I wouldn't know how to get in touch with a "broker"... I suppose I could just show up the day of and see if anybody's scalping...

Really? That makes me really happy to hear! (I was a bit disappointed with their third album, though.)
