stormsewerI talked to my supervisors today and broached the subject of me taking a week off next month to go to North Korea. They didn`t freak out! Whew. I was thinking that would be the major hurdle I`d have to clear to get it to be a go. It`s not for sure yet whether they`ll even let us in; apparently we`ll find out [And hey! I just found the apostrophe ['] on this keyboard! Shift-7! On the keyboard it looks like a triangle thingy and not an apostrophe, which is why it was so hard to find! Double yay! Once I get going, I tend to get carried away with the exclamation points!] about ten days before we'd actually go in. Oh man, oh man I wanna go so bad...
Apparently everyone's going home from work after lunch to clean their houses so they'll look nice for the coming of the spirits of their dead relatives during O-Bon. I think it's this weekend. Maybe I'll go home and clean, too. Cause my place could use some cleaning. And who knows? Maybe some of my dead ancestors will make the trip.
[EDIT] Turns out I can't speak Japanese and they just cleaned the Board of Education building. I'm not quite sure what that's all about. I think maybe they're having certain functions take place here for O-Bon, or something, and thus the building needed cleaning?
